The Department of Business law, Faculty of Laws and Political Sciences, University of Buea, in collaboration with the Business law Society, is pleased to announce the organization of an engaging Symposium on the theme: “OHADA as a Guarantee for Economic Growth in Africa: The Cameroon Experience”.
The event is scheduled to take place on the campus of the University of Buea, in Amphitheater 250, on April 11, 2025 from 10 A.M.
You will hereunder find the programme of this thought-provoking event which will explore the critical role of OHADA's legal framework in fostering economic stability and promoting effective business practices in Africa, with a particular focus on Cameroon. As you can see below, there shall be insightful discussions led by distinguished experts in the field of business law, with the noteworthy participation of Dr. Mayatta Mbaye, OHADA Permanent Secretary.

- 10:30-10:50 - First Speaker: Prof Mayatta, OHADA Permanent Secretary: OHADA and its institutions as A Guarantee for Economic Growth in Africa.
- 10:50-11:10 - Second Speaker: Prof Djieufack, Lecturer Dschang/Bamenda Universities: OHADA as a Lever for Economic Growth in Cameroon.
- 11:10-11:30 - Third Speaker: Barr Forchack, Founder and Managing Partner of the Forchack Law Firm.The Incorporation of Business under OHADA Law in Cameroon.
