Les articles 285 et 286 de l'Acte uniforme portant droit commercial général prévoient le transfert des risques à l'acheteur à partir de la remise de la marchandise au premier transporteur. L'acheteur ne peut, dès lors, être libéré de son obligation de payer le prix de la marchandise.

On 10 April 2025, a strategic meeting was held in Abidjan between OHADA and the Financial Markets Authority of the West African Monetary Union (AMF-UMOA).
