OHADA.com News: OHADA / RWANDA / BURUNDI / Belgium's support
We are pleased to inform you of the Royal Decree dated November 10, 2006, signed by His Royal Highness, King Albert, his Government being represented by Mr Armand de DECKER, Minister of the Cooperation in furtherance of Development. This Decree has granted to UNIDA, chaired by Mr Kéba MBAYE, a subsidy of 30 000 Euros for the organization in Rwanda and Burundi of two symposia concerning the new OHADA unified system of business laws.
This commitment from the highest level of the State of Belgium offers an invaluable and concretely useful contribution to the promotion of the OHADA uniform business laws in Burundi and Rwanda. The support is particularly fortuitous as it is offered as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), under the leadership of its newly re-elected President, His Excellency Mr Joseph KABILA, prepares to join the OHADA common system of business laws.
Mr. Maurice VERMEESCH, Member of the Chambre Belgo-Luxembourgeoise ACP, Representative of UNIDA in Belgium, Vice President of the Supervision Counsel of your www.ohada.com website, and Mr. Patrick de WOLF, Attorney at Law, Brussels Bar, President of the Club OHADA Belgium, were essential to obtaining this critical support from Belgium.
As they become known, we will inform you of all details concerning these two upcoming conferences to take place in Burundi and Rwanda in the coming months.
