Launching of a new Pan African “OHADA” law University diploma / PARIS PANTHEON ASSAS and PARIS 13 Universities
Law firm Eversheds LLP, the Henri Capitant Association, the Foundation for Continental Law, Lextenso, UNIDA, its www.ohada.com website and the High Council of French Notaries have recently announced plans to sponsor a new OHADA law Paris University diploma at the Universities of Panthéon-Assas and Paris 13, the first of its kind to have been set up in Paris.
The brand new initiative aims to educate law students and professionals in OHADA law, a unique legal forum which has been adopted by 17 West and Central African nations to facilitate and encourage both domestic and foreign investment in the member states.
The OHADA reform is seen as a legal revolution, strengthening the rule of law and economic and judicial security, essential factors for healthy firms and economies of its member states.
The diploma will be open to holders of a Masters degree or for those with accreditation for work experience. The programme will consist of an academic year of lessons given by highly-respected University professors and practitioners of law and economics in Africa.
The training will commence in September 2014, with participants graduating in June 2015.
