Meeting of the OHADA Council of Ministers, Yamoussoukro (Côte d'Ivoire), 8 - 12 June 2015

The Council of Ministers of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) will hold its 39th meeting at Hotel President in Yamoussoukro (Côte d'Ivoire) on 10, 11 and 12 June 2015, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Daniel Kablan Duncan, Prime Minister and Head of Government of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. As usual, this meeting will be preceded by that of the Experts on 8 and 9 June 2015.

Besides the traditional exchange with the Technical and Financial Partners of the Organization, the Council of Ministers will acquaint itself with the Permanent Secretary's report on the activities and functioning of OHADA institutions during the first half of 2015 and will examine files relating to the staff situation.

Normative activities of the Organisation will be much higher on the agenda. An update on the revision of the Uniform Act on the organization and harmonization of companies accounting, a presentation on new areas that may be covered by OHADA, preparation for the revision of the Uniform Act on Arbitration and a diagnostic authorization request regarding the implementation of the Uniform Act organizing simplified recovery procedures and measures of execution are among the items on the agenda of the Council of Ministers meeting.

The implementation of OHADA law in Member States will also be discussed by the Council of Ministers, with a special focus on the computerization process of the Trade and Personal property Credit Register (RCCM) in the OHADA space. On this occasion, the prototype of the national and local file management software will be presented to the Council of Ministers before being finalized and put into use in the coming months.
