We are pleased to inform you that the OHADAC Convention will take place on September 21-22, 2015 at the World Trade Centre Complex in GUADELOUPE (FWI).

The Convention will formally present all of the work carried out by the OHADAC project and will announce the launch of the first OHADAC institution, “The OHADAC Centre for Arbitration and Conciliation”, whose headquarters will be located in Guadeloupe.

Works presented at the Convention will be centred on the OHADAC Principles for International Commerce Contracts, OHADAC Arbitration and Conciliation, the OHADAC Model Law of Private International Law and the OHADAC Model Law of Commercial Companies. Experts in international contract law, international arbitration, and international private law from both the Caribbean and Europe, who have helped contribute to the publication of these texts, will also be present and take part in these presentations.

The OHADAC Convention will also bring together representatives of the States and Territories of the Caribbean, as well as various chapters from the OHADAC area. Representatives from prestigious international organisations working for the harmonisation of law such as the OHADA (Organisation for the Harmonisation for Business law in Africa), the UIHJ - (International Union of Judicial Officers), the UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission on International Trade Law), the GFDD, (Global Foundation for Democracy and Development), the Foundation for Continental Law and the Henri Capitant Association), as well as Chambers of Commerce, legal practitioners and academics will also be present.

We would be extremely honoured if you were able to attend and take part in the debates and presentations held at this historic convention, which will help create the foundations for the genuine regional integration of Caribbean countries and territories.
