Promotion of OHADA Law and ADRM in Cabo Verde, 14 - 19 November 2016
The Strengths of OHADA Legal System presented in Cabo Verde.
Within the framework of its activities to disseminate and promote OHADA Laws, the Permanent Secretariat is organizing two workshops in Praia and Sal (Cabo Verde) from 14 to 19 November 2016 with the financial support from the World Bank Group.
In addition to a general presentation of OHADA and its legal system, the program for each of these workshops includes an introductory presentation on Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods (ADRM), and several other presentations on arbitration in OHADA. Legal professionals (magistrates, lawyers, court clerks, notaries, and bailiffs), academics, economic operators and bankers are invited to these workshops.
The Praia and Sal workshops are the first major events organized by OHADA in Cabo Verde which has already expressed interest in the African Organization for legal integration.
On the sidelines of the activities, the Permanent Secretary of OHADA will be received in audience by the Minister of Justice and Labor of Cabo Verde. Both personalities will seize this occasion to exchange on a possible accession of Cabo Verde to OHADA.
