Conference Organized on the Theme: “OHADA Law: From Legal Modernization to Economic Development”, Conakry (Guinea), June 10, 2017
On the sidelines of the 44th Session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa held on 8 and 9 June 2017 in Conakry, the Higher Regional School of Magistracy (ERSUMA), in partnership with the OHADA National Commission (ONC) of the Republic of Guinea and the University General Lansana Conté of Conakry, organized a conference on the theme “OHADA Law: From Legal Modernization to Economic Development”. The conference took place on Saturday 10 June 2017, 10 a.m., at the said university.
The main speaker at the conference was Professor Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, Director General of ERSUMA and Maître Mohamed TRAORE, President of the Bar Association of Guinea, was the moderator.
This conference was within the framework of the cooperation between ERSUMA, ONCs and universities. It offered the opportunity to develop a lasting partnership between these institutions, to raise awareness about ERSUMA and its services and, above all, to make a strong contribution in research on OHADA Law.
The Common Court of Justice and Arbitration of OHADA (CCJA) took part in this event through a presentation by Mr. Narcisse AKA, Secretary General of the Arbitration Center of CCJA.
The event also witnessed the participation of academics, magistrates, lawyers, notaries, bailiffs, accountants, corporate lawyers, economic operators, students and other persons interested in OHADA law.
