Raining on cooperate societies in OHADA space from 12 to 14 March 2018 in Douala (Cameroon)

The Higher Regional School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organization for Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) in partnership with the Université Africaine de Développement Coopératif (UADC) organises a training on the theme: “Public authorities and enterprises at the school of cooperate societies law” from 12 to 14 March 2018 at Bano Palace Hotel in Douala (Cameroon).

The workshop will focus on:

  • Context of cooperative societies and challenges of cooperative sector development;
  • Cooperative principles and purposes;
  • General framework of cooperative societies;
  • Formation of cooperate societies;
  • Cooperate members and the operation of cooperate societies;
  • Administration, management and audit of cooperate societies;
  • Cooperation and development of cooperate societies.

Venue: Bano Palace Hotel in Douala (Cameroon)
Duration /dates: Three days (03), from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 March 2018

Target audience: Cooperators; farmers; economic operators; managers and auditors of cooperate societies or associations; heads, members and executives of Chambers of Commerce and Industry; officials of ministries; local communities and management structures; officers of cooperatives; union structures; judges; public and chartered accountants; notaries; lawyers; bailiffs; judicial representatives; bank, financial institutions and microfinance advisers; insurance advisers; corporate advisers; auctioneers; scholars; employers and any other interested person.

Trainers:

  • Mrs. Rachel Claire OKANI, Doctor of private law. Former Lecturer and vice-rector at (Université Africaine de Développement Coopératif, UADC);
  • Dr. Gabriel GBEDJISSOKPA, programs and projects Director of the Pan-African Cooperative Conference.

Registration requirements:

  • Fill and send the registration form to ERSUMA;
  • Pay the training fees amounting to 300.000 FCFA.

A 10% discount will be granted for at least three registrations for a company or organization.

Students and Postgraduates willing to attend the workshop will have a 40% discount on the cost of training after justifying their status (a scanned copy of student registration certificate in support to the application). Applications shall be sent to the Director General of ERSUMA through the e-mail address ersuma@ohada.org.

Training fees shall cover the tools and teaching materials, coffee breaks and lunch during the period of training. Travel, accommodation and other catering expenses shall be borne by participants.
