After several consultancy projects, the company has identified the need for greater awareness in Germany of the legal framework offered by OHADA to companies doing business with partners in the member countries in Africa. In order to promote greater awareness of OHADA in Germany, Ingenierie Consulting is setting up a German branch of Club OHADA in Nuremberg, in the state of Bavaria. The purpose of the company is to support business between Germany and West Africa. Currently the company is concentrating on management consultancy services (i.e. strategic management, cultural intelligence, cross-border competencies, partnership development) for companies and institutions in Germany and in West Africa. The role of Club OHADA in Germany is to hold seminars and talks about the legal framework of OHADA and about doing business with companies in OHADA countries. The German branch of Club OHADA will invite guest speakers from OHADA as well as from African-based companies in OHADA member states doing business with German companies and from German-based companies doing business in OHADA member states in Africa to describe their experience of working with the OHADA legal framework. The Club OHADA Deutschland will be launched on October 31st, 2008. Immediately thereupon, the activities of the Club will be open to all German-speaking countries, with a concrete intention to set up the German branch of Club OHADA in every of these states, namely Austria, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein as well as the German-speaking territory of Switzerland and Belgium. In recognition of the need for information to be available in the German language, the OHADA poster will be translated into German and made available by the launch date. In addition, with the support of German academics, Readers in Law, an OHADA textbook will be published in the near future.
