Africa is booming! In 2007, a number of sub-Saharan countries experienced real economic growth of over 6%, the highest in the past 30 years. Governments are increasingly introducing earnest structural reforms. OHADA law is one prominent example. We herewith cordially invite you to attend the launch of Club OHADA Deutschland e.V. on October 31, 2008, in Nuremberg, Germany. This club will be responsible for the entire German-speaking region, and aims to increase the awareness of OHADA law in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. in the Mars/Venus conference room of the Mövenpick Hotel Nürnberg-Airport located directly at Nuremberg airport. These experts will describe and explain details regarding the rights and obligations of foreign investors seeking to invest in OHADA Member States. Naturally they will also be available for questions after their presentation. To date, 16 African states have joined OHADA. The objective of OHADA law, which bears similarities to EU law, is to create a uniform business law framework in the Member States in order to make trade more transparent and to guarantee legal protection.
