[This panel will explore important and cutting-edge issues in cross-border mediation, such as (i) the recent signing of the Singapore Convention on International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation (the mediation equivalent of the New York Convention); (ii) investor-state mediation; (iii) the experience of international arbitration centres with mediation, “stepped” ADR clauses and hybrid processes such as Arb-Med-Arb; and (iv) the results of the Global Pound Conference Series Report on Global Data Trends and Regional Differences in ADR. The panel will conclude by drawing out key implications for mediation on the Continent, such as by offering predictions for the future and suggestions for best practices.]
