Le preneur qui n'a pas enregistré le contrat de bail et ne paie pas les loyers s'expose à l'action en résiliation et en expulsion du bailleur. La juridiction statuant à bref délai, juge des référés au Cameroun, est compétente pour constater la résiliation de plein droit d'un bail assorti d'une clause résolutoire et conséquemment, ordonner l'expulsion du preneur défaillant.

On 10 April 2025, a strategic meeting was held in Abidjan between OHADA and the Financial Markets Authority of the West African Monetary Union (AMF-UMOA).
