Yaoundé (Cameroon), December 15, 2017

In a special issue dated December 15, 2017, the Official Journal of OHADA publishes the three texts adopted by the Council of Ministers on November 23, 2017 on Alternative Dispute Resolution, namely: The Uniform Act on Mediation, the new Uniform Act on Arbitration Law and the new Arbitration Rules of the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA).

In accordance with Article 9 of the OHADA Treaty and the final provisions of these new texts, these will enter into force 90 days later, precisely on March 15, 2018.

Member States are strongly encouraged to publish these same texts in their Official Journal or by any other appropriate means, in accordance with Article 9 of the aforementioned Treaty. Although it has no effect on the entry into force of the new laws, this parallel publication contributes to the good dissemination of OHADA law among citizens.
