Celebration of OHADA's 31st Anniversary: Permanent Secretariat is Gearing up to Hold a Bimodal Conference and a Documentary Exhibition at its Headquarters

17 October 2024 cannot go unnoticed in OHADA's agenda; it is actually the date marking the 31st anniversary of this African Organisation fostering legal integration and which was established by the Treaty of 17 October 1993 signed in Port-Louis (Mauritius).

As you may recall, OHADA's mission is to:

  1. Provide African countries with legal solutions to their economic problems;
  2. Regularly improve the investment climate through the adoption of harmonised, simple, modern business law suitable to the situation of African economies;
  3. Secure investments by regularly building the capacity of professionals and economic operators, and by establishing a predictable, reliable, objective and effective system for the settlement of disputes.

To commemorate this day, the Permanent Secretariat is organising a documentary exhibition at its headquarters in Yaoundé (Cameroon), as well as a conference on “The autonomy of OHADA law in relation to national laws”. The conference will also be accessible online via the ERSUMA digital platform.

    Je suis étudiant en deuxième année douane et transit à l’Institut Universitaire Siantou. J’aimerais bien participer à cette cérémonie de grande importance pour l’OHADA. Je ne sais pas si c’est possible...
