Bimodal training sessions: “Techniques and strategies for negotiating and drafting oil and mining contracts in Africa”, from 11 to 15 November 2024 in Lubumbashi (DRC)

The Regional Advanced School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), in partnership with the Bars of Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Tanganyika and Kinshasa Gombé, the Law Firm J&R based in Lubumbashi, the Law Firm Lwanga & Associés based in Kinshasa and with the support of DBZ Conseil S.C.A based in Kinshasa Gombé, is organising two bimodal training sessions in Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo) at New Ikoma Lodge from 11 to 15 November 2024.

Theme: “Techniques and strategies for negotiating and drafting oil and mining contracts in Africa”

General information

  • Target audience: Company directors and managers; executives and staff of the ministries in charge of finance, energy and mining, trade, infrastructure, etc.; executives and staff of legal departments/directors; lawyers; notaries; executives and staff of administrative and financial departments/directorates; contract managers; company lawyers; bank and insurance lawyers; tax specialists; chartered accountants; auditors; executives and staff of the public and private sectors; academics and other interested parties.

Speakers

Speakers will include leading experts and specialists in the negotiation and drafting of mining and petroleum contracts.

  • Trainer 1: Dr Achille NGWANZA, Doctor of Private Law, Partner JUS AFRICA, member of the ICC International Court, Chairman of the OHADA working group of the French Arbitration Committee, Trainer at ERSUMA;
  • Trainer 2: Dr Mohamadou Fallou MBODJI, International Business Lawyer - Energy (Mining, Gas & Oil) and Infrastructures | Ph.D. on African Mining Investment, trainer at ERSUMA.

Theme: “Innovations in the new Uniform to lay down simplified recovery procedures and enforcement measures (AUPSRVE)”

Online registration (required)

Final registration and payment by November 01, 2024, entitles the participant to a 10% discount on training fees. NB: Completion of the online registration form constitutes provisional registration. Payment of the course fees constitutes final enrolment.

Trainees participating by videoconference will receive their connection and participation code once they have sent their payment slip to ersuma@ohada.org / gaffan.ersuma@ohada.org or once their online payment has been validated;

Attendees will receive notification that their payment has been validated and will be invited to join the course.

    Formation tjrs d’actualité bien que la session de Yamoussoukro demeure vivace en moi, Lubumbashi aurait été une attraction si j’avais reçu l’annonce à temps
