OHADA's Permanent Secretary, Prof. Mayatta Ndiaye MBAYE, undertook a working visit to N'Djamena (Chad) on Friday 14 February 2025.
During this visit, he was received in audience by Mr Youssouf TOM, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, in charge of Human Rights. He also had a working session with Mrs Fatima HARAM ACYL, Minister Delegate to the Minister of State, Minister of Finance, Budget, Economy, Planning and International Cooperation, in charge of the Economy, Planning and International Cooperation.
This working visit gave the Permanent Secretary the opportunity to discuss with the Chadian authorities the issues at stake in the Republic of Chad's forthcoming chairmanship at the helm of OHADA. It is worth noting that, after more than 16 years, Chad will preside over the destiny of OHADA after taking over from Senegal at the 58th Session of the Organisation's Council of Ministers scheduled in Dakar (Senegal) on 20 and 21 February 2025, and which will be preceded by the Experts' meeting billed for 17 and 18 February 2025. Chad will also hold the rotating presidency of the Conference of Heads of State and Government, as well as the presidency of the Council of Ministers made up of the Ministers of Justice and Finance of the Member States.
