Dans le contrat de vente commerciale, le vendeur s'oblige à livrer les marchandises vendues tout en remettant à l'acheteur les documents y afférents. L'acheteur, qui a pris livraison des marchandises et refuse de payer le prix convenu motif pris de ce qu'il n'a pas reçu lesdits documents s'expose au recouvrement par la procédure d'injonction de payer en ce que la créance est certaine, liquide et exigible.

On 10 April 2025, a strategic meeting was held in Abidjan between OHADA and the Financial Markets Authority of the West African Monetary Union (AMF-UMOA).
