Dear friends of OHADA,

A year is coming to an end. A particularly rich and fruitful year for OHADA.

Beyond the regular activities carried out by the operational institutions of our common Organization, the second edition of the International Forum of Legal and Figure Professionals (FIPROD) has enabled OHADA to radiate far beyond the borders of the Member States. In terms of the “production of norms”, the year that has just ended will be forever distinguished by the adoption, the 22nd of December 2022, of the 11th OHADA Uniform Act, devoted to the accounting system for not-for-profit entities. At the same time, the Accounting Standards Committee has been extensively reformed to meet the new challenges arising from issues of sustainability, social responsibility and the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing.

A new year begins with new and exciting challenges: finalization of the mammoth task of updating the Uniform Act Organizing Simplified Collection Procedures and Enforcement Measures, continuation of the project of developing an uniform private international law for the OHADA member states as well as common rules on electronic commerce, adoption of a statute for CCJA Judges, implementation of the recommendations of the study on the revitalization of the CCJA arbitration system...

Together, we can rise to these new challenges and celebrate, with pomp, the 30th anniversary of OHADA under the presidency of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
